In 1966, growing up in Panama, I heard for the first time a Brazilian vocal group named Jongo Trio. From that moment on, my desire to record with a similar ensemble grew until finally, after 56 years, it has become a reality. My respect and love for Boca Livre represents my feelings for all the music and performers from Brazil I have enjoyed all these past decades. They educated and thrilled me. To have recorded, worked and toured with Boca Livre continues to be one of the highlights of my career as a singer-songwriter. We hope you like this record as much as we relished the chance to make it happen. PASIEROS (PARCEIROS) describes our love, joy and respect for each other, for all music and for all people. We express these emotions through the songs of this album, and we share them with you, with affection.

Boca Livre was a guest on our MUNDO album, with EDITUS and now finally, 56 years later, my dream of making a complete album has come true. My respect and affection for the members of Boca Livre represent my feelings for the music and musicians of Brazil that I have enjoyed so much these past decades. Their productions and examples educated and delighted me. Being able to work, record and travel with the members of Boca Livre continues to be one of the points that I consider outstanding in my career as a singer and composer. We hope that this record is to your liking, as much as it was a pleasure for us to have the opportunity to make it a reality. PASIEROS (PARCEIROS) describes the love, joy and respect between us and for the art, people and music of the world.
